Crap!! The Wiimote that came with Wii Play doesn't work >_<* tried everything with it, even the batteries from the Wiimote that works and there's just nothing, the LED lights dont come on at all T_T so we can only play one-player until the store gets more copies of Wii-Play we can exchange it with

You should be able to have a go on a demo Wii in Gamestation, HMV, Game etc. The Wii is the new console from Nintendo, and the conroller is like a magic wand where you point it at the screen to control the cursor and just press one or two buttons! Really!!

It's going back-to-basics gaming which I love, as I hate controllers with a bazillion buttons on them, an ergonomic and aesthetic nightmare!

This thread made me sad . My bf and I pre-ordered our Wii ages ago. It was planned it would be our xmas present to each other as we both love gaming very much (in fact I have disaapeared a little recently due to addiction to Gears of War and Viva Pinata). We got a letter through the door on thursday eveing saying we wouldn't be getting ours. It was harsh as my bf was so worried he checked the week before and the store sadi they would easily forefill their pre-order. Even with the letter my bf went to the store at 9am on release day. There was a guy who didn't receive the letter there also, but they said they hadn't received their stock yet. They had a list, and the other guy was on it but not us u.u we were the fourth on the list to pre-order. It's not fair.To add to this we got another letter this morning. It explained that they wouldn't have enough stock until after xmas now...the complete opposite to what the store told my bf...

Oh well.. I've had my rant. It's nice to see others are lucky enough to have their's now and are enjoying the experience thoroughly. It's so good to see gaming touch so many ^-^

just came back from brothers house. My god, wii is amazing.

Baseball was so much fun. All the wii sports/wii play games are so simple, but so awesome. I wad having serious flashbacks to the good old days when games were fun to play.

I also got in a good 2 hours of zelda. That is an amazing game, and has totally sold me on the control system. It just feels so natural to shoot or use the sword, you really get into it so deeply!

The speaker on the controller was a great idea. I think when the stocks resupply i may have to pick one up. Its just too darn awesome.

Thing is, i know if i get zelda, i can kiss goodbye to 70 hours of my life.

also OMG i heard component cables were hard to get, but 480 sterling is bizarre.

UGH! That's terrible! You should totally make a fuss and get the manager to promise you in writing that you can get a discount off some Wii games when they finally get you a console!

I've only played Zelda for 4 hours, just ahead of the forest temple bit, and have already got *THE MOST AMAZING* upskirt shot on Link so early on in the game in fact most of the game time incurred was staring at that shot for some time...

Thanks for being sweet. Oddly though Lei we happened to have a similar experience with our 360 at a different chain of stores last year. We ended up having even worse luck and trying to get to the Tescos Extra (which isn't close) as early as possible (6pm..silly work ). But we were the secong people there! We waited the whole 6 hours by the customer services and watched the queue grow. Unfortunately Tescos Gatwick ( I will name them as it was shameful) decided to be the only store in the COUNTRY that chose to do a raffle draw instead of first come first serve! Of course we didn't win, but when the guy on customer service line sounded shocked that it happened it took the biscuit. We complained for months and got nothing. Kind of dented by that after this similar experience, so it's probably not worth us wasting the time sady. Any ofther time and people will drop anything to help you. But a console launch makes you feel like you have to serve the store, not the other way around like it should be

Anyways as I said before so pleased so many people are being touched by gaming. Awesome that your mum wants to play tigerangel

as for the first incident with the wii, if you were 4th in the preorder, then if they got any stock you should have gotten one. Its just wrong that you didnt!

A lot of shops these days treat the customer like crap.
Argos here is the only one selling the wii at its rrp. Everyone else is adding 20 euro. Its like a freaking cartel over here when it comes to setting games prices.
