Today I got sent home sick

so I had hours of nothing to do..

so this week my entry is a) early and b) not really a sketch.. more of a fully fledged drawing. But I wanted the inking practice.

Critique welcomed and loved. It was so nice to have nothing to do all day!

Loved the toy in the hands lol nice touch. Using only black and white even on the background created a realy nice effect.

And if it helps, I haven't started lol. I realy want to do a chibi gothic lolita sketch just for experience sake lol.

She reminds me of Dark Chi from Chobits, but less evil and more floaty n_n pretty eye shape!

argh laking time for this one lol i done 1 chibi sketch but it was during lesson and i wasnt 2 pleased with it. I WILL DO 1 lol

Silicon - I love the abstracted skirt! I wonder if simplifying the hair details on the large ponytail at the back might integrate with the general stylized look better?
For another picture entirely, it might be cool to have a very stylized picture, where hair and shirt etc had no details at all, just an outline, set off with a a very detailed, stylized skirt like that - could look really cool!

Chiichanny - Lovely outfit design! I don' think I've seen a V shape corset-laced like that - nice and original! I hope you colour it ^_^

Since I liked the topic I thought I'd play too, although it ended up going quite well and turned into more than a sketch I think. Not quite done, but getting there!

yeah, the hair is its downfall really, but its been a while since I've drawn anything of that calibre.. so practice, practice, practice for me!!

Thanks silicon! It was sketched straight into Photoshop. I've been using the dry media, chalk pastel-ish brushes a lot lately - they're quite far down in the brush dropdown menu, below all the softshading ones but above the effects brushes, and have speckledy logos next to them.

lol the actual image was very small so its best seen without clicking and enlarging as i just found out. Forgot to rub out pencil lines lol
