Default Jump In Comic

Hi!

Here, I finished the 1st 3 pages for the comic. Remember, you can do as you like, but try to be consistant and follow a sequence so we know what’s going on.

This is my first time drawing, and completing, comic pages. I toned digitally for the 1st time too so I hope it's not too bad.

Laura, sorry for the use of comic sans

The list so far is as followes:

Khalid - NEXT - DEADLINE 20TH MAY 2006

FuzzyMuu
Enth E Nd
Felche
Tkawaii
Unmei_tenshi
Superpuss

PAGE 1

PAGE 2

PAGE 3

Why not attach them to the thread? It would be much easier.

I took a look at the pages... um... could we do this challenge with left-to-right reading pages, please? It's pretty strange and lots of people make mistakes with right-to-left pages.

I recommend the use of a better-looking typeface (lazy and thoughtless! ) and NOT right-to-left (gimmicky!).

Other than those points, it's interesting to see this challenge! The art has had a lot of hard work put into it, so I hope to see more soon.

People can draw left to right or right to left. As long as they state it. How can it be confusing or strange? O_o Is not as if i was writing in a different languange and most people here are used to right to left reading. I don't like the western way and i don't read any manga written that way, so all my references are right to left.

And i can't attach to the thread because the file is too big and if i shrink it no one will be able to read the captions.

Soooo... here are the other links to them on my dA page and i hope they word this time.

*raises hand* I'm afraid I find reading right to left confusing. Yes, reading Japanese manga has helped in that, but I still get lost easily - sorry I am used to left to right; that's the way I learned to read, and a few years of reading Japanese manga is not going to significantly alter the habit of a lifetime.
It is particularly confusing when the text goes left to right but the speech bubbles are arranged right to left; the natural flow of the eye from one bubble to the other is broken. Korean manwha is arranged left to right; it's only done right to left in Japan because that's the way text is naturally arranged. In the west, text is naturally arranged left to right, therefore it is normal for comics - including manga - produced in the west to read left to right.

However, I can read Japanese manga, and I can read this. So far, it's looking cute - and intriguing

That's funny - the size they are is perfectly uploadable - see below. I removed the 'read this way' bit, but you could probably leave it on. Jpgs should be 800 by 1100 pixels across and 200KB in size; your third page is 700 by 1008 and 180Kb.

Hope that helps

Considering this is your first time completing comic pages, I have to say you've done an excellent job! The toning is good too, well done!
So far, looking good, and very cute! The characters you've made up look like they have the potential to make some interesting storys and relationships
I look forward in seeing where this goes, I will; probably take part myself at some point! XD

I agree - it is difficult to follow. The design and toning is good - fantastic for a first attempt!

ok, let me get this straight, so each time the due date passes the next person in line will have a time period to finish, right?

and how long is each period?

The period is 3 weeks after the next pages are submitted. So if everyone meets the deadline we should have new pages every 3 weeks

sorry to be a pain, but could you shift me to last? I'm kind of going to be in Malaysia without internet for a while, but i'll be back in time for that, pinky promise!

and those three pages are absolutely fantastic! Can't wait to do some cos the story seems cool

happy Hi

I like where this is going and the tones you used are very nice, even though you don't like em. I think I'm just going to watch this for a while until I feel confident enough to jump in. Also to give the characters time to develop as well.
