These are the pictures that were considered exceptionally good or that caught the judges' eye. Thank you all again for entering - seeing so many enthusiastic people was fantastic, and there are some amazingly good artists out there
![]() Spirited Away - Andrew Baxter A really nice picture, which captures the spirit of the film wonderfully. Gorgeous colours, and, a bit tangentially, lovely printing ![]() Abel Nightroad from Trinity Blood - Shiori Nakamura I'm a Trinity Blood fan, so this picture immediately caught my eye. However, the addition of silver streaks to the hair, the lovely thin linework and the marker work made it popular even to those of us who aren't so fond of bishounen. Original character - Roger Wade Lovely black lineart and nice texture effects as well. This is a complete picture without colour, and the character is intriguing and interesting to look at. Original character - Jasmina Kolassa The colours on this are what really make it stand out. The detail draws the eye in and the whole is well-balanced. The characters look fascinating, and the little decorations in white at the corners are a nice touch. Original character - Andrea Corbett Lovely composition and beautifully detailed lineart, especially the patterns on the clothes. The colours are limited and well-chosen, which is very effective. The background colours and detail finish it off nicely. |

Finally, here are three fan arts of Sweatdrop characters! We love receiving fan art, so thank you all
![]() Sueto-chan - Jasmine Gosomeka An entry to the fan art under 16 category, complete with Sweatdrop logo and scarily well-done handwritten text. Sueto's expression is fantastic. Sueto-chan - Heather Clason This was also entered in fan art under 16. Laura says it makes her squee every time she sees it. Very sweet. From Ocean Dreaming - Deborah Clerkin This is the main character from the comic Ocean Dreaming, which we have been selling for Marlon, a Dutch artist. It has lovely pencil work and a sweet expression. |

Yup - we had a VERY hard time judging ;_; so hard!!
These contenders were all stunning. I only wish we'd had more prizes! The Cloud/aeries image was lovely...but then...so were so many of them! Though there was no actual date mentioned, we did have to take into account just how long ago that image was created. ;^_^ Definately a great image though. Thanks for the link serge (the all-seeing sweatdrop! hehehe). |
