Convention London Comic Festival - 23rd October 2004

Sweatdrop attends Comic Festival next weekend!

Sweatdrop Studios will be attending the London Comic Festival on Saturday, 23rd October. We will have all our comics available to buy, as well as a couple of new titles - including the latest issue of Dragon Heir! Enterance is only 6, so be sure to come down and say hello!

The event starts at 10am and is located at the Holiday Inn London Bloomsbury (Coram St, London, WC1N 1HT). For maps and more information, please visit the official site: www.comicfestival.co.uk

--------------

That's it, basically! If anyone is in London and would like to see what we do, it's the perfect chance to get exposure to all our titles. We hope to see some of you there, and if you come along - be sure to introduce yourself!

So... who is coming?

I'm going to pop along Saturday, out of curiousity more than anything else. I also want to see what the heck they've done to the Dandy o-0,, and I might go and bug Toykopop man about a UK manga contest.
Anyone going to be showing off their portfolios?

Ooh, I didn't notice that Norman Lovett was gonna be there, would be great to hassle Tokyopop about British prejudice. I'll try and pop along if I can, i should go to more stuff like this really. . .

Hmm... Are you sure about Norman Lovett being at the London event? He was at the Bristol event this summer, but I haven't seen his name on the London guest list...

If anyone is feeling especially brave or stupid, there might be some openings on the Live Portfolio Reviews event. Contact Kev Sutherland on kevf(at)comicfestival.co.uk for more info. (Confuse the 2000AD/Marvel pro's! I showed them my funny animal stuff last year. "It's, uh... It's got a lot of energy..." )

Good luck with voicing your concerns to Tokyopop, but keep it civil!

Self-serving Plug-O-Rama - with any luck, we should have some copies of the Manga Mover anthology on the Just1Page table (and a whole heap of other stuff besides!)

I can't seem to get access to the Comic Festival site to find out if you can pay on the door or not? Does anybody know?
