I've already been spouting my gibberish for the artbook I did with fellow artists, which is now set for expo because I got the books today! Wooooo! You can get a copy from my table at C45, manned by myself and SoyaMILKu at 13 pounds.
Also, Itch is releasing my second comic as well! You'll be able to get a copy from Willie's Itch table or myself. I think it's twice as thick as my last book, with extra stuff in the back! I'm excited to see it myself! But not excited about seeing the mistakes I made...there will be some guaranteed! You can check as some pages of the book here: http://superjax.smackjeeves.com/comics/661961/page-1/ I will update with the rest...soon...but you won't see the extra mini story in the back, that comes with the book exclusive! This is a big expo for me! Me me me!! =P=P

Since the expo had come and gone, and if you picked up a copy of either the artbook or my comic. I would like to hear your thoughts! Both good and bad are welcome although currently I have a squidgy heart so if you want to criticise, please do so in a...constructive way! =P

I got Super Jax - really enjoyed it, it was really funny and had a good ending
My only issue is that there won't be any more ;_;One question - do you intend to make your text so large? It might just be me, but it does seem to be very big. That's not a criticism, just a comment/question ^^ |

agree'd!! it was certainly funny and played around with the 4th wall of super heroes a bit which made me laugh xD it wasn't long enough! I just felt as if those characters and so much to them, there should be more =0 altohugh, it did also work as a shortie, nice and fun and entertaining enough - if you ever do get the chance though it would be cool to see more, i feel like there's more story here/they have more to give!! I m reminded muchly of the incredables =>the art is nice and full of life, clean and cut and simplistic, pretty likeable i have one peice of critism, i personally didn't feel there were enough backgrounds- at times it felt a little too empty to me! please note ofc. this is most likely my personal prefrence/opinion, but i guess it's something to ponder =)

Bought both books, but haven't had time to read Super Jax just yet...
![]() I love the artbook however! When it was first mentioned I was a little worried about how it would turn out, but the moment I was able to see the physical product I changed my mind! I like the fact there's little writing in there - it allows the drawings to speak for themselves from pencil to final. Also doesn't hurt that the art inside is extremely nice stuff. ^^

@Ushio: That's good to hear! I was also in the same boat, thinking it would turn out awful! I do like reading stuff in books but I purposely made it without the heavy text so that the drawings would dominate. So glad you agree!
@Sun Kitten/Denji: I have thought about extending it. But the problem is, I just don't have any ideas that would make it interesting, and original! I mean it works fine as a short piece but I would have to think of something epic to fill it out as...an epic! =P @Sun Kitten: You know what, I'm paranoid that the text is too small!! =P It's probably my reaction to that paranoia, because I've read plenty of stuff that has made me squint, and I'm worried that when I've inked and completed the page, then go add the text, I've underestimated and the text won't fit!! =P If that's the case I may not need to worry...=P @Denji: BGs ain't my thing but I know they're important. I have improved with adding BGs because I used to avoid them like the plague! But of course I do need to work on them. I suppose the lack og BGs was because I tried to concentrate on the characters? I mean I think I assumed "well we've established they're in the park, so I'll just concentrate on drawing the characters". I shall remember to include more than what I percieve in the future! Thanks for you comments! I'll be sure to keep them in mind. You can slap me if I don't make these improvements with the next project you see from me! =P

Forgot to get Super Jax...
Did get the artbook though (of course! ), and it's all pretty and shiny! The art is all so gorgeous, congrats to all the artists for producing such lovely stuff *small fit of jealousy in corner*. Please make a print of the cover art, I would so stick it up on my wall. Plus you printed my doodle so I love you forever. ![]() |

I'm a little sad that there's no more of it though! It was such a fun story! I also thought Wizz Kid was really cute! ^^; I know that's really wrong of me considering he's pretty darn twisted... but he had goggles!! Squee!Anyways, t'was awesome! Great job on it ^^ |

Attention: if you missed getting Super Jax at the Expo, it is now available on the ITCH website: http://www.itchpublishing.com/news/super-jax/
![]() In about a week ITCH will close for business for a while because I'll be moving house and not be able to send books around and stuff. So grab it now if you're keen. ![]()
