o_____O *spasm twitch*
I talked to the guy about a month ago and he said they'd try to get Sonia.... haha, I then ranted at him about how great the tutorials and that he MUST get her/them to come.
Do you have any details? He mentioned July to me... I bet it's when I'm in Malaysia XD. I will ultimately force my friends to go if I can't attend.
Pockets, it'll be Blackwell on Friar Street down from the Station 8D (the best shop in the world <3).
YAAAAAAAY! ^_____^! Thanks so much for posting about it Kelinor ^_^!

Ahem..!
I can't wait to see you guys in my home town XD ^_^! Blackwell is awesome <3.
I'm now going to tell every somewhat manga infused person to every otaku I know and pimp the spiffiness that is SD.
I thought it was going to be when I wasn't in the country ^^, yaaaay!!!

Had a look at the Blackwells site, apparently the shop isn't open on Sunday. In case you weren't already aware, the 24th is a Sunday.
So they're opening the shop up especially for you guys!

XD...! Sorry for the hyperness o_O. I had come to the assumption earlier that this would be when I was out of the country in July... so it is a very pleasant surprise to myself that I can come .
Haha yeah XD... I wonder how we'll fit in! I remember spoonbard and Patrick did a workshop a year or so ago. After RSOM 1 had just come out. They did it upstairs (o_O) because that's where the manga was then.
I'll buy my ticket after school tomorrow XD!
(the joy of going to an inner town school = shopping after school XD)
Hey Mace, you had the biggest Re:con last month AND you get Minamicon .
I should hopefully be there for all 3 workshops ^_^!

Ouuu! I just got my tickets today ^^. All the workshops are the same and are £10 each >.>, so I'll be going to the Re:Con first at 10am and then staying for the first workshop at 12pm ^__^!
Can't wait to see you guys there!
I'm not gonna cosplay this time as I've already won a cosplay comp there with my Misa outfit. I really want to get a Loli dress though so I could wear it! I've been saving money.... I never usually buy clothes XD! Hmm... I might go to Camden with some friends (double to celebrate end of exams 8D) on the 23rd, or I may possibly get a dress from the internets ^^! (I hear Camden lolita stuff is tacky...)

Having seen Emma and Sonia doing one of their demos at Bristol, I cannot recommend the experience enough! They're a better double act than Eric and Ernie (kids, ask your parents...), professional and friendly in equal measures, and the time flies by. I'm a writer, not an artist, but (despite having attended many other such demos and talks) I learned quite a bit, and I'd suggest that other 'just writers' should head over. Learning the techniques of the genre, particularly panel layouts and other such gems, will make you a better writer.
And, above all else, it's a lot of fun!

More Pimpage!
Hi Guys, I'm bumping this because I've received word from the Blackwells staff that although interest has been high, ticket sales, are low. It would really reassure them if people commited to the event by purchasing a ticket in advance.
DATE: 24th June
VENUE: Blackwell's, 142-143 Friar Street, Reading, RG11 1EX
TEL: 0118 959 5559
http://bookshop.blackwell.co.uk/jsp/...ops/SHOP64.jsp
They may need to reduce the number of workshops on offer if the turnout is too low, so be sure to tell all your friends about it ^__^
£10 may seem a bit, but it's a bookstore, so they can't get public funding like some other venues, they have to charge for their finances more.

I do believe I'm already responsible for 100% of the people attending the SD workshop, and I've been continually telling people XD. So yeah... I am trying ! Haha, I've neglected to tell people the amount of tickets sold to spur them on to buy them ASAP for fear of selling out XD!
I'm also accountable for about 20% of the people coming to the Re:con XD!!! Haha... the guy there must think I'm crazy, I've gone in 4 times after school to buy Re:con tickets XDD! (My school's in the town centre, so I've been buying them on the way back rather than have my friends take a train in just to buy tickets). Haha... I actually went in again today (bought 2 more XD and gave in my comp. entry :3), they must think I'm touting the tickets on the side ! When I gave in my art entry they said "have you bought tickets for the workshop?" and I was like... "I was the first person to XD!" (haha... I didn't tell them I know everyone who's going to the workshop XD) I've been telling every manga inclined person I know ^_^, and I've been pimping the awesome SD especially! (haha... I sound like some crazy promoter >O<)
I do believe that 61 Re:con tickets have been sold to this moment in time ^_^! (and possibly 4 SD ones when I last checked... but that was a few days ago)
Hehe... I feel like the Sweatdrop Street team or something XD! I've been explaining the careers of Emma and Sonia to sceptical OEL manga friends
OH YES! On a less tickety note, I'll be cosplaying as Haruhi Fujioka ^_^! My expo friends are coming in cosplay too! Guybrush Threepwood and Reno are gonna be there. There should also be an appearance from an AMAZING (i.e won the expo compt last year) Yuna cosplayer who's coming from Bedford!
