Default Inspired Comics Collective

I'm in a comics collective called Inspired Comics. Hopefully you might have seen us around at cons before. We have a newish blog and I forgot to announce it here.

We've been working on a new Sci-Fi anthology over the summer and the progress is being posted on the blog.

http://www.inspiredcomics.blogspot.com/

Inspired have produced 5 anthologies as a group over about 3 years. We have a big cartel website for the anthologies still in stock.

(Preview attachments by Jack Davies, Gemma Sheldrake, Sammy Borras and Sarah Fogg)

(whenever there is Inspired news from now on I'll update this thread instead of creating new ones when we're working on a new anthology)

Hey! I've been blogging about our new anthology for months now and they came in the post this week - exciting!

I have a rubbish camera so I've not taken any good photos of them yet, I'll post a photo online if I ever get a good one.

but anyway, the attachments are instead of a photo. I drew fanart of a character from each story from the anthology. So the design credits go to ...

Sarah Fogg

Lily-rose Beardshaw
http://www.l-bea.livejournal.com/

Laura McNulty (writer) & Sammy Borras
http://www.sammyborras.blogspot.com/

Luke Bayliss (writer) & Harry Griffin-Hayes

Cat Reda

Shaz Jubeen

Jacob Boniface (writer) & Jack Davies

Gemma Sheldrake

And the 2nd attachment is the wrap around cover you should look for at events and in comic shops (I will probably update to let you know when new events are announced and stuff)

We will be launching the book at Thought Bubble in Leeds in November

Thanks
Sammy

Inspired are mostly based in the West Midlands so we wont be going to MCM in London this month - but we will be at Thought Bubble in Leeds in November instead.

We've just put the new anthology online - and the best part is that the postage is included in the £4 price of the book! hooray!

If you're not going to any events but live near Birmingham - We've dropped some copies off at Nostalgia & Comics

Thanks!
Sammy

I've never bought any printed comics from you guys, even though I'm so familiar with most of the various artists' work! I think just because you guys are never at Expo and I'm never at Thought Bubble XD But yay I'm going this year to TB, will definitely pick up some stuff from you guys! ^__^

Is this your work? I have been writing stories before while inserting a drawing to illustrate my characters more sine I was in my elementary and high school years. But then I stopped and now I don't even know how to draw anime characters again.

Heeeyyy I forgot I made this thread.

Inspired just printed a new anthology. Its based around a food theme. we have a blurb this time ...

Quote:
Sugary sweet bunnies, a deliciously grim detective tale, turf wars of fiendish butchers and food wars on national TV! Just some of the stories to be found in Eat Me! a food-themed anthology from Inspired Comics. Sit down and feed your brain with six original comics, from light snacks to juicy steaks, there’s something for every taste.
I've attached some previews/photos.

Cover Art by Sarah Fogg
Bunny Comic and stickers by Catherine Reda
Many Years Ago by Jack Davies
Food Wars by Sammy Borras

but you can see more on the Inspired Blog

The first event we'll have these comics at is Bristol Expo on 12th - 13th May 2012

if you're not going to that event I'll be sorting out the online shop as soon as I can (I need to double check new postage costs first) and I'll be back to let you know what comic shops we've visited to stocked them

Thanks again!
