Reading and creating manga (yes, even though it is my job, I still like to do it for fun). Dressing in Gothic and Lolita fashions. I cook lots of Oriental food (Thai, Japanese, Chinese) and bake cakes and make jam. I like gaming (particularly puzzle games and rpgs). I look after my own website (and I am a HTML markup fascist). I also collect weapons. |

| Biography: |
I'm a professional illustrator and comic artist. I work in a variety of mediums, including watercolour, pen & ink, screentone, alcohol colour markers, pencils and CG. I've exhibited artwork in prestigious venues (London County Hall, London Cartoon Museum, Japanese Embassy), provided product demonstrations (on behalf of Copic, Letraset and Wacom) and regularly present workshops on manga creation. My artwork has featured in several manga-related publications, events, websites and magazines internationally.
My competition achievements include Winner in NEO Magazine's 2005 Manga Competition, Joint Judge for the Character Design category of the International Manga and Anime Festival 2005, and 2nd Place Winner of Tokyopop's first UK Rising Stars of Manga competition.
My work is also appearing an upcoming British movie, Popcorn, directed by Darren Paul Fisher, starring Jack Ryder (EastEnders) and Jodie Albert (Hollyoaks). I'm currently working on a manga adaptation of Romeo & Juliet with Self Made Hero / Metromedia UK, to be printed January 2007.
Sweatdrop has helped me and many others achieve their dreams of comic-making. I just happened to be one of those fortunate enough to make it into my career! I hope to help, encourage and inspire many more to do the same. |
