| Biography: |
My love for manga probably began in the (albeit brief) time I lived in China. Asian culture tends to pervade each other so I spent the first 4 years of my life watching anime and collecting Sailor Moon cards. Then my family moved to Vienna (Austria) which is where I grew up. I began drawing fanart in manga-style when I was 13 after being enthralled by Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This soon developed into a hobby that became one of the most important things in my life.
I was lucky that manga/anime (strangely enough) became extremely popular in the German countries and I spent my teenage life as part of that scene. I had work published in various magazines and online communities. I'm still very much active in the German community and contribute to contests and magazines. However German was never my strongest language so after graduation I decided to move to England to study graphic design.
I've been in London for several years now, first doing a Foundation Course and now pootling through my BA. I keep my manga work separate from my studies, though I treat both with equal seriousness. I work with a Wacom tablet, Photoshop, Painter Classic and Computones plugin (on a PC!!). I'm so glad to have met the people from Sweatdrop and will do my utmost to contribute towards the group ^_^!
